He joined Namdeb in 1994, working in Human Resources and Communications before moving to De Beers Consolidated Mines’ headquarters in Johannesburg. Otto Nakasole Shikongo (DOB - 11 May 1962) is currently the CEO of Debmarine Namibia. The largest diamond miner in Namibia since 2007.

Since 1988, he held numerous engineering related positions at NAMDEB (Namibia) and DEBTSWANA (Botswana) before moving to Debmarine Namibia as Operations Manager in January 2002. He was appointed Debmarine Namibia Managing Director (later CEO) in December 2003, the position he holds until now.

He is a registered Professional (Namibia & RSA) and Certificated Engineer (RSA). Qualifications include a Master of Engineering degree (mechanical) from the University of Southampton - UK 1988 (with merit). He completed a Senior Management Development Programme with the University of Stellenbosch Business School – RSA 1996; an Executive Development Programme with Ashridge in 1999 and a Senior Executive Programme with the London Business School in October 2006
